Garlic

Garlic is our favorite! It is used in all sorts of cuisine and adds a ton of intense flavor to dishes.

Garlic can be planted in the late fall and it will pop up early in the spring. It is exciting to see the first shoots poke through the ground! Hard neck garlic gets some tasty "scapes" that you can eat in early June.

Garlic won't be ready to harvest until mid-July once the green tops start to wither. Once it is dug, it needs to dry in a cool dark place with good air flow for a few weeks. Garlic bulbs can be stored in for as long as 6 months if stored properly.
