Sage
Sage is a savory, slightly peppery herb in the mint family. Originally from the Mediterranean region, it is used fresh or dried as a flavoring in many foods. It is commonly used to flavor poultry, pork, and sausage.
Sage was used in ancient times to ward off evil spirits and to cure snakebites!
Pick a leaf and you will smell the wonderful aroma. The leaves are a little fuzzy but you can taste it if you like.
